With Agent WebPAY, you can:

  • View your account balance

Your account will be updated automatically after your payment is received, and if your key was inactive, it will be automatically activated after your payment is processed.

New ActiveKEY page on the Supra website

Another new feature on the Supra website is the ActiveKEY page. Click on the ActiveKEY logo in the center of the front page, and you will see complete resources for the ActiveKEY user. We've included brochures, facts, quick start instructions, the user manual and even the instructional videos. On the right side of the ActiveKEY page under Related Links, you will find other useful how-to flyers and the accessories order form.

The newest addition to this page is the ActiveKEY Battery Tips flyer. While the ActiveKEY keeps itself updated, it still needs to be charged, just like your cell phone. Many agents have added a car charger to help them keep their key charged, only to find that their key has lost its charge. If this has happened to you, here are two very important tips from the flyer:

  • Many vehicles can only provide power to the ActiveKEY charger while the ignition is on. You can tell if your ActiveKEY is charging when your ignition is off by checking the display window. If it is charging, the window will say CHARGING and display the key's current battery level.
  • Temperature extremes can affect battery performance. If the ActiveKEY is below 0° C (32°F) or above 40°C (104°F), it will not charge in order to protect the battery from damage. During very cold or hot times of the year, you will want to bring your ActiveKEY in from your car at night and between showings.

Just-released eKEY software upgrade includes Google maps

We are pleased to announce the release of upgrades to the Supra eKEY software. Palm version 4.3.04 and Windows Mobile version 4.3.17 are available for immediate download from KIMweb.

Log on to the Supra website at www.supraekey.com, click the Log on to KIMweb link, and log in using your eKEY serial number and PIN code. Then click Download Applications on the left side of the page and follow the instructions for Palm or Windows depending on your device operating system.

Our map provider, Mapopolis, has ceased operations, so the new release includes an upgrade to Google Maps.

Google Maps is a web-based application requiring the use of the Internet. Because the Google maps are updated frequently, you will enjoy more accurate maps and greater detail. Included are a powerful directions-finding tool and even a traffic feature.

If you do not have a data plan on your smartphone, using Google Maps may increase your cell phone charges.

If you do not have a web-enabled device, or you do not have a data plan, you can still download the Mapopolis maps until March 31, 2008. The Mapopolis maps will still function after March 31, but there will be no support and the maps will not be updated. To download, log on to KIMweb as above, and click the Maps link on the left side of the page. Select your state or province from the dropdown list and click Show All Maps. Click on the name of each county map you want to download and follow the instructions.

Wish you had a smartphone? Check out the latest and give yourself a treat!

There are many smartphones certified for use with the eKEY software. Most recently added is the AT&T version of the Palm Centro, also available through Sprint. This is the smallest smartphone on the list, and probably the most affordable-as low as $99.99. It includes all those real estate-friendly features, such as contacts, calendar, and camera, plus email and access to the Internet at broadband-like speeds.

The Sprint version comes in red, black and pink, and the AT&T version is white. For more on the Palm Centro, please visit www.sprint.com, www.wireless.att.com or www.palm.com.

For a complete list of devices certified for use with the eKEY software, log on to the Supra website at www.supraekey.com and click on the Certified eKEY devices link on the right side. Or simply click here.

About showing activity reports in ShowingValue

Not getting as much showing activity as you expect to see on your ShowingValue reports on KIMweb? Here are a few possible explanations.

The ShowingValue feature is completely dependent on your fellow agents "reporting" showing activity to the Supra system. "Reporting" happens when you eSYNC your key, meaning when your key establishes a connection with the Supra system.

Here's how it works.

If you have the little DisplayKEY, you can "report" or eSYNC your key by leaving it on its cradle overnight for automatic connection to the Supra system. You can also "report" by initiating a manual eSYNC with your DisplayKEY on its cradle at any time. For instructions, click here.

If you have eKEY Basic or eKEY Professional software on your smartphone, typically your key "reports" automatically overnight using your wireless connection to the Internet. You can also "report" any time you'd like by tapping the eSYNC icon, then tapping #2 Update Key and MLS on the menu.

If you have eKEY Basic or eKEY Professional software on your PDA, you can "report" by connecting your PDA to its cable or cradle. letting it eSYNC automatically overnight through your PC (or if you've had it a while, over your regular phone line). You can also "report" by tapping the eSYNC icon, then #2 Update Key and MLS after you have connected your device to its cable or cradle.

If you have an ActiveKEY, you need not worry about "reporting." The ActiveKEY is an absolute chatterbox when it comes to telling the system where it's been. Because it is in constant connection with the system, it reports your showing activity almost immediately after you open an iBox!

If your organization is now using the ActiveKEY, you should have fairly complete and accurate showing activity, with the exception of showing agents using eKEY software on a PDA, who cannot "report" from the field.

If an agent shows your listings using eKEY software on a PDA, or if your organization is using the DisplayKEY, that showing activity will not reach the system until the agent connects their key to "report" to the system, either manually or automatically as described above.

Your best bet is to campaign heavily within your own company for everyone to "report" at the end of each day when they've had showing activity. Many offices provide a DisplayKEY cradle at the front desk for just that purpose. To view the cradle order form, click here.

In a pinch, you can drive out to the listing and perform a "Read" on the KeyBox to view showing history. The KeyBox knows when it's been opened and by whom, and if it's an iBox, it will tell you exactly who it was and give you at least their main contact phone number.

Don't know what we mean about getting showing activity reports on KIMweb? To learn how to register your keyboxes and set up ShowingValue features, click here.
