Out with the Old, In with the New Login

We will be phasing out the XL Paragon old login by the end of the year.  Though we have kept the old available, many of the new tools and features that help you work more efficiently and productively are only available in the new login.  These include: 

* Easier ways to search with features like town type-ahead lists, quick search tools, and an interactive map that lets you quickly search an area.

* Convenient ways to view results with hover overs and modal windows to access more information without leaving the results page.

* Additional report options such as quick links to nearby transactions and active listings in a building complex or flyers that let you choose which photos to include.

* Extra ways to stay informed with additional Watch List and Hotsheet options.

* Tools to maximize your open houses including an electronic sign-in sheet that captures and creates an email list of open house attendees for future marketing contacts.

* And much, much more….

For those members who are using the old login, why not start working in the new login now so you can take advantage of the tools it provides?  We will be offering a webinar twice a month between now and the end of the year to review the additional features available in the new login and answer any questions you have.  Please check the NJMLS training calendar in XL Paragon or look for the login link on the Desktop messages to register.

What’s New in XL Paragon

These enhancements and new features have been recently added to XL Paragon.  Just a reminder, these can only be found in the new login:

CMA
Report Choices:  Easily create a default CMA report by using the “Save as Default” button on the CMA Pricing page.  By choosing this, you eliminate the need to make report choices each time you run a new CMA.  Additionally, you may also re-order the components of the report, customized to your needs, by using the drop down arrows displayed next to each.  Click on the magnifying glass for a preview of what that page will look like.

XL Paragon Desktop
Links now appear under My Updates on the XL Paragon Desktop:
  • Office Inventory- quickly view active listings within your office. 
  • Office Open Houses and Tours- view listings in your office with open houses or realtor tours coming up within seven days. 
  • Previous Office Hotsheet- in addition to the current Office Hotsheet, which displays transaction activity within your office only, you can also view the Previous Office Hotsheet, which displays right next to it.  To access this feature, click on the Office Hotsheet link on the XL Paragon Desktop.

Watch List
Alerts via email:  Select to be alerted on Watch List activity via email.  Choosing this option means you will receive emails whenever a change is made to a listing that is saved to your Watch List. 

Virtual Tour
Second Media Choice:  A second URL field has been added to Add Virtual Tour, allowing you to add two media choices such as a virtual tour, animated floor plan, or video. 

Inventory
You may search for the ARIP status category.

Date Range Menu Options
Date Range menu options have been added next to each status as an alternative to entering a physical date range when running Listing Inventory.

 
NJMLS Membership continues to grow!  Just look at the numbers over the last five years.
Circle of Excellence Report

It’s hard to believe that we’re in the last quarter of 2016. That means it is time to start thinking about the Circle of Excellence report.  This tool, found in the XL Paragon Stats menu, simplifies the process of compiling what you need to qualify for this distinction.   Your report will consist of a list of your closed transactions with details that include the value of the sale towards your Circle of Excellence status.

Our Circle of Excellence Report aligns closely with the sections of the application used for submission. You can run the report the way you always have, but the new report version will contain the following additional information and options:

 
  • A checkbox to easily print listing reports
  • Two options for Units calculation: Dollar & Unit or Strictly Unit
  • Lease Term
  • Gross value of rental agreement has been calculated and now displays in the Dollar Value column

This is also a good time to make sure that you’ve checked your inventory to confirm you’re current on reporting closed listings, as well as confirming that any transaction in which you represented the buyer is correctly reported by the listing agent.
 
Also New in XL Paragon:  the New Map Search



We recently released a new version of the Map Search, which features a larger, interactive map.  You can use the map to search for properties with or without other filters.  Some of the features of this Map Search are:

Draw to search- Use the map to draw a shape within an area and search only within that shape.  Add filters to further refine your search. 

Map Layers- Use the Map Layers option to show parcel lines, postal code, city, and county boundaries.  When zoomed in on parcel view, click on a parcel to display lot dimensions and select tax information.

Listing Cart- Listings added to a Cart will display on the Map with a check mark, easily distinguished from other search results.  Additionally, listings in a Cart may be emailed to a customer or saved for future reference. 

Paginated reports- When creating a report from search results such a Detail History or Tax report, you may view this in a paginated mode, rather than having to scroll up and down.

CMA Presentation link- After choosing listings from your search results, use the “presentation” icon in the Action menu to connect quickly to CMA and expedite creation of your report. 

Map results- Color-coded map results allow you to easily see properties that have had price changes.

Active listings- Listings that are in Attorney Review (ARIP) are now clearly identified.

 
Statistical Reports are Now in One Convenient Location

We’ve added a new option to the XL Paragon toolbar labeled “Stats,” so all reports are featured in one convenient menu:




NJMLS monthly and quarterly reports are displayed in an easy view, library format.




New features added to statistical report screens make it easier to run reports.  These are:

A.  Description of report and sample to view
B.  Quickly add and save criteria with these new options:  Last, Clear, Save As, Saved Criteria, plus set up Auto Email to receive a saved report on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
C.  More organized layout with less frequently used criteria found under “More Options”



 
ShowingTime Messaging





ShowingTime has just added a convenient new feature to their appointment scheduling product called ShowingTime Broadcast Message Service.  This enhancement allows the Broker to send a message “blast” to all the agents in their office at once.  Agents have the choice of receiving these messages via email, text message or “push,” for those agents who are using the ShowingTime mobile app.  Agents need not have ShowingTime enabled on their listings to receive these alerts; simply go to Listing Maintenance>ShowingTime Agent Preferences>My Agent Setup>Messaging Preferences and choose the method or methods you prefer.
